First Meeting of Local Ward Forum
First Meeting of Local Ward Forum
An initiative of the new administration is to set up a local Local Area Forum in every ward.
This is meant to be a way of engaging members of the public in the running of their own neighbourhood and not just "all the usual suspects" and pressure groups.
The first meeting in this ward (Cantelowes) will be held at the Irish Centre, Camden Square at 7.00pm on Thursday 22nd November. Please come and show care for where you live.
It's an opportunity for residents to set an agenda on what issues are important to the ward - and not for political point scoring about Borough-wide issues.
The intention is that Forums will be the basis for devolving towards more local decision taking. The three ward Councillors will be present, as will Camden officers and, hopefully, members of the local Safer Neighbourhood Police Team.
We do expect to cover the issue of youth activities in the ward and contemporary green issues.

Re: First Meeting of Local Ward Forum
Tonight's the night: Irish Centre at 7.00pm (Thurs 22nd Nov)
I hope residents from BARA will attend. It's non-political but setting the agenda for the ward on what's important to residents.
I hope and expect Climate Change and grass roots green issues will feature.
